Some of the fundamental reasons for the establishment of JAMTANI are concerns over conditions where farmers are often in a weak position with various economic pressures, political pressures, social pressures, cultural pressures and even global pressures. On the other hand, the existing challenges encourage farmers' desire to have more knowledge, capacity in various sustainable agricultural sector skills and the ability to access various potentials, both local potential, access to marketing, access to favorable policies and networking with other parties. Farmers need to appear to fight to uphold the rights, dignity and rights of farmers to solve their problems. Farmers believe that success is in the hands of the farmers themselves while other parties are only as encouragers, as facilitators and as supporters. Some of the fundamental reasons for the establishment of JAMTANI are concerns over conditions where farmers are often in a weak position with various economic pressures, political pressures, social pressures, cultural pressures and even global pressures. JAMTANI membership prioritizes the farmer base, especially small-scale farmers both men and women and youth with various crop commodities including pond farmers.
